After staying up until 4 am negotiating last Friday, the member states have finally presented us with the CSW Agreed Conclusions. This document serves as the outcome on the theme of Financing for Gender Equality and has important implications for the review of the financing for development meetings later this year.
Check back later for analysis from Ecumenical Women. In the mean time, please provide your feedback on the recent experience at CSW by taking this very brief survey. Ecumenical Women look forward to your recommendations and input to improve our effectiveness at next year’s CSW!

Friends,
Through the Women Network we received the Ecumenical Women Statement at UN, which is very important. We are making copies to distribute among our sisters from the protestant and catholic churches. We think it is very appropriate to share it at the International Women’s Day. Please, take us in consideration for next Ecumenical Women communication.
With best wishes,
Mabel

Amigas,

Thanks for the Ecumenical Women Statement delivered at UN. I want to ask you if I can share it in Huncayo at the gender training. I think it is important to use it and develop some of the issues raised at the Statement.

I congratulate you for this blessed and wonderful initiative of the ecumenical women movement. We all know that poverty is “feminine and black”. Women are isolated and desperate, without expectations, health and hope. This is one of the lights of God, who raise women’s movements to work for women’s personal and social development. Thanks God, that we as Methodist and sisters churches, proclaim the justice and equality from the Kingdom perspective. I will pray for you.
