Ecumenical Women Events

Ecumenical Women Orientation and events, CSW 56
**All events take place at the Church Center for the United Nations, 777 UN Plaza (1st Avenue at 44th Street)

Ecumenical Women Orientation
Saturday Orientation will consist of worship, how to do advocacy at the U.N., and time to explore together the 56th CSW theme. This year, the afternoon sessions will allow first time participants and returning participants options matching their interests and experience with CSW.

Cost: $30 full day, $15 half day
When: Saturday, February 25, 2012
Registration begins at 8:30am, Orientation closes with a reception at 4:30pm

Ecumenical Women Dinners
The dinners will be used primarily as social networking and opportunity for questions and announcements. They will be held on the 2nd floor of the Church Center for the UN.

Cost: $18 per dinner
When: Thursday, March 1, 6:00 pm-7:45 pm
Tuesday, March 6,  6:00 pm-7:45 pm

Worship Team
Join Ecumenical Women weekday mornings during CSW from 8-8:45 am for worship at the Church Center for the United Nations (777 UN Plaza, ground floor).  Each day a different denomination or group will be assigned to plan and lead the service–resulting in an energetic, interesting and varied experience!

Communication Team
 The Communication Team needs your help–sign up at Ecumenical Women Orientation to blog, record and post video, tweet, and help others make their voices heard!

Priority theme:

The empowerment of rural women and their role in poverty and hunger eradication, development and current challenges

Review theme:
Financing for gender equality and the empowerment of women.(agreed conclusions from the fifty-second session)
