Hi everyone, with only 10 days remaining before the 57th Commission on the Status of Women begins on 4 March at United Nations Headquarters in New York, we at Ecumenical Women will be providing you with daily thoughts, video, quotes and prayers that inspire our work.  What follows is a brief video from UN Women’s Say NO – UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign and a prayer that we used for devotionals before our monthly meeting last Friday.  We hope you find both as inspiring as we have, and we greatly look forward to seeing you at CSW57!

Prayer:
As we gather in faith and action to promote a more secure and peaceful world, we pray to challenge ourselves and strengthen our voices, in collaboration with others, to end violence against women. As people of faith, we stand united to affirm our roles in educating, advocating and preventing violence against women and girls. We pray that we may open hearts and minds to support women and girls. We draw our actions from our deeply shared spiritual assets and religious resources of the inviolable dignity of every human person. Where there is challenge or despair, may we hold to hope and inspire vision as we act together for peace to end violence against women.
