Presbyterian United Nations Office

The Presbyterian UN Office (PUNO) represents the Presbyterian Church (USA) at the United Nations. The Presbyterian Church (USA) is a non-governmental organization in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. In 1996, the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) recommended for study and action the Platform for Action from the Fourth World Conference on Women. The PC(USA) has also supported all of the UN conferences on women, as well a the UN Convention on the Elimination of All forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
